Mayor Carlo Rabat shared the joy and gratitude of the locals for the cooperation and support of the community and the collaboration of concerned government agencies in realizing such declaration. This manifested his faithful commitment and strong support to the campaign of President Rodrigo Duterte against illegal drugs.
He further said that this is just the beginning of the ongoing clearing operations leading to the eventual declaration of the rest of the barangays as drug cleared.
Meanwhile, the new Officer-in-Charge of the Mati City Police Station PCI Adolfo Eyan also stressed that their operation against illegal activities in the barangay will continue even after the barangay had been cleared of illegal drugs, the same for the rest of the barangays covering their area of responsibility.
On the other hand, Punong Barangay Enrico Antopuesto expressed his gratitude for the new milestone of his barangay being cleared from the watchlist of the enforcement agencies, nevertheless, maintain his stand in good and firm stead against illegal drug users and abusers who would want to desecrate his locality.
In attendance to the signing and declaration ceremony were the member of the oversight committee – DILG Provincial Officer Yvette Tolentino-SUnga represented by CLGOO Nida Muya, DOH XI ARD Annabelle Yumang represented by Development Management Officer Roger Palec, and PADAC Action Officer Art Benjie Bulaong, joined by Vice Mayor Glenda Monette Rabat-Gayta, the BADAC Mebers and Surrenderers of Don Martin Marundan.
